Licensed physicians, advanced practice nurses, and physician assistants may dispense legend drugs in Indiana in the course of their professional practice. The legend drugs must be delivered in good faith by the practitioner, and the practitioner must follow all state and federal laws, including labeling and reporting requirements (if dispensing controlled substances). Practitioners are authorized to dispense under the Indiana Legend Drug Act, Indiana Code Section 16-42-19.
