Physicians who wish to dispense in Nebraska must first apply for and receive a Dispensing Practitioner Pharmacy License from the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. The application fee is $625, but the license is permanent for the location, so there are no ongoing renewal costs. The permit allows physicians to dispense any medication that the physician is eligible to prescribe, as long as they comply with all state and federal laws.
